Kailash Mansarovar 2025: Long-Awaited Yatra to Begin June 30 from Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh

The long-awaited Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will commence on June 30, 2025, from Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh, ending a five-year pause that left countless devotees yearning for the divine journey.This Yatra will be conducted by KMVN.

This yatra will be conducted through Lipulekh Pass route of Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. A total of five groups of 50 persons each will be included in the yatra. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will start from July this time.

This decision was taken in a meeting of officials of the Ministry of External Affairs, Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN), Sikkim Tourism and China held in Delhi on Monday. In the meeting, officials of the corporation have said that all preparations will be completed by June.

Officials from the Indian Army, ITBP and health experts were also present in the meeting. According to KMVN officials, the Chinese officials agreed to start the yatra from July instead of June. This time special arrangements have to be made for the stay of the travellers on the yatra route.

Spiritual Journey 2025

The corporation's focus is on making the journey more safe and convenient. Special arrangements for accommodation will be made in Tanakpur, Dharchula and Nabhidhang for the passengers coming from Delhi. Different diet plans will be prepared for people of all ages.

Spiritual Yatra begins soon

With the help of experts, such a diet will be decided which will give energy during the journey and will be easy to digest. At the same time, special care will be taken to ensure that the passengers do not face any problem in high altitude areas during the journey.

KMVN MD Vineet Tomar says that Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will start from July. Efforts are being made to arrange food and accommodation as per the needs of every category of travellers. Arrangements will be made in KMVN's guest house for the stay of travellers.

The corporation itself will monitor the preparations
A team of Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam officials will inspect the Yatra route by June and take stock of the preparations. Work will be started at a fast pace at the places where facilities need to be improved.

Kumauni and local food in diet plan
Special diet will be prepared keeping in mind the needs of the elderly, youth and women during the journey. The corporation will make arrangements to serve Kumauni and local border food items to the travellers at high altitude after consulting the experts.
